Pat Philippi
Lecturer,
University of Nebraska-Kearney
Pat is a Kearney transplant having “transferred” from University of Nebraska-Omaha where she was the Campus Recreation Assistant Director for Aquatics and Fitness. She is currently a Lecturer at UNK in the Kinesiology and Sport Sciences Department, specializing in Recreation Administration, along with teaching Yoga and TRX. She is no stranger to dancing, as she started dancing when she was 3 years old. Her favorite form of dance is ballet, which is something that she has passed onto her two daughters. When she is not at UNK, she can be found running, cheering on her daughters, Kali and Willow, at volleyball, cross country, or softball, either from the sidelines as a coach or more recently as a spectator. Her husband, Joe, teaches Industrial Education at Axtell Community Schools where their daughters attend. Pat also enjoys supporting his Cross Country and Track teams any chance she can get. When she’s not supporting her family, running, or doing yoga she tries to sneak in a climb or two at the UNK climbing wall. She also manages to find time to be a member of the Axtell Fire and Rescue Volunteer Department.
