Ashley Nanfito is known by her students as Miss Ashley, but she’s also known by her fellow soldiers as Sgt. Nanfito. Yes, this graceful dancer is a warrior, and is proud to serve her country, currently with the 734th BSB in Kearney. Sgt. Nanfito has served almost 11 years and was deployed to Iraq with the 1195th Transportation Co. from 2009-2010. Like Krisa, Ashley started dancing at age 3 at Kearney School of Dance, and now, helps share her love of dancing and her skill with children and youth of all ages, particularly in studio dance and workshops. She is also a busy mother to toddler Everett.
Favorite memory of dancing: Competing with KSD’s competitive team
Memorable dance achievement: “Winning Nationals in Las Vegas in 2004 and participating on the Kearney High School Dance team.”
Favorite dance style or step: Tap or ballet

Favorite dance partner: “I have never partner-danced. Eek! Well besides slow-dancing with my boyfriend.”
Favorite Dancing with the Stars pro or star: “Shame on me. I don’t watch the show. But I don’t watch much TV at all.”
